Rather than one shape stretched over an entire sofa, this is a set of stretch chenille covers sized to individual parts: 27.6 by 35.4 inches and 31.5 by 31.5 inches for standard seat cushions, 31.5 by 47.2 inches for a longer one, a dedicated 27.6 inch square for armrests and a 17.7 inch pillow size. Because each piece grips only the section it is made for, a cushion you pull out to plump goes back without disturbing anything else on the sofa.
The stretch matters more than it sounds in a home with animals. A fitted, tensioned cover has no loose flap for a cat to get a claw under and no slack for a dog to drag into a nest, so the protective layer stays where you put it instead of ending up in a heap.
