Sizing here is by seat length, not by a vague small, medium or large. Each size states the sofa length it fits, from 35.43 to 55.12 inches for a single seat up to 118.11 to 141.73 inches for a five seater, so you run a tape measure along the front of your sofa from one outside arm to the other and buy the size whose range that number falls inside. Get that step right and the elastic edging does the rest.
The fabric is herringbone chenille, woven tightly enough that claws tend to slide across the surface rather than pull a loop out of it, which is what leaves the fuzzed patches on a looser weave. The same tight construction resists pilling from the constant friction of a dog turning around in the same spot, and the herringbone texture disguises the light marking that any cover in a pet home eventually collects.
It is cut for full coverage, wrapping seat cushions, armrests and the high-wear edges rather than sitting on the seat alone, and the built-in elastic edges pull the hem under the frame so it does not creep up during use. Washing is routine machine work, which is the practical part in a house that sheds; it goes back on holding its shape, softness and color rather than coming out a size smaller.
