The size names refer to seat counts, but the numbers beside them are the real specification: a single seat span covers 35.43 to 55.12 inches, a two seater 57.09 to 72.83, a three seater 74.8 to 90.55, a four seater 92.52 to 118.11 and a five seater 118.11 to 141.73. Measure your sofa from the outside of one arm to the outside of the other and match that figure, because sofas sold as three seaters vary by more than a foot.
Seersucker is woven with alternating slack and tight threads, which is what gives it the puckered surface and why it sits slightly off the skin instead of clinging. In a home with pets that texture is useful twice over: it breathes, so the covered sofa does not become the hottest seat in the house, and the crinkled face disguises the light creasing and fur that flat fabric shows. The cover reaches over the seat, the back and the arms, so there is no exposed strip for a cat to find.
