Seat covers come in four lengths, and the chaise, backrest and headrest panels are ordered individually, so a sectional with a chaise on one side and a sofa with a low back are both covered properly instead of approximately. That also means the sizes are given as ranges rather than fixed numbers, because the ice silk stretches: a seat cover listed at 37.4 to 53.1 inches long is designed to be pulled taut over anything inside that span.
Stretch is what makes it hold on a piece of furniture that pets use hard. A cover under tension follows the shape of the cushion rather than sitting loose on top, so there is no slack for a cat to slide under and no folds for a dog to push into a heap. The honeycomb jacquard is a raised, tightly interlocked weave, which is the practical reason it stands up to claws better than a flat knit does, and the surface carries a coating that keeps spills and muddy paw prints sitting on top long enough to be wiped.
Before ordering, measure each part separately: width and length of the seat, plus the cushion height, which needs to fall between 1.9 and 7.8 inches for the stretch to seat correctly. A 17.7 inch cushion cover is available to match. Every panel pulls off for a normal machine wash and goes back on damp-stretched to a smooth finish.
