This is a flat mat rather than a fitted slipcover, and that is the whole idea: you buy the length that matches the run of cushions your pet actually uses, lay it down, and leave the rest of the sofa uncovered. The size ladder runs from a 19.69 inch square up to a 35.43 by 82.68 inch runner, so a dog that owns one end of the couch gets a panel that ends where he does.
The face is flannel over an anti-slip plastic cloth backing. Flannel earns its place in a pet home for an unglamorous reason: the pile is short and dense, with no long loops for a claw to hook and pull, so a cat kneading the surface presses into it instead of dragging threads out of it. Shed fur sits on top of that short pile rather than working down into it, which means a lint roller or a shake outdoors does most of the work between washes. The plastic-cloth underside grips upholstery so the mat does not creep down the seat when a dog circles before lying down.
Measure the seat run you want covered, then pick the closest length; because nothing tucks or fastens, a slightly generous size simply drapes over the front edge.
