The Nordic pattern on this cover is carved into the pile rather than printed onto it. The design is cut at different depths across a plush surface, so the motif is made of shadow and height instead of ink, and it cannot fade, crack or wash off at the edges the way a printed panel eventually does. Run a hand across it and the pattern is something you feel before you see it.
